Here is Boucher's #2 prototype for what would become their new Bluegrass Goose series dreadnought. It sports a AAAA Adirondack top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. This guitar is in excellent condition with only minor surface scratches on the back. While the changes to the bracing, bridge and saddle are present, it was not yet fitted with the diamond fretboard inlays or 21 fret fingerboard - making it quite unique! Features include:
New voicing for enhanced projection, stronger fundamentals, and fewer overtones
A more traditional squared-off belly style bridge with extended saddle
More pronounced V-neck
Bone bridge pins
Upgraded Gotoh 510 open gears for smoother operation and better stability
This BG dreadnought is strung up with .013s and has a strong, clear voice as you'll hear in the video. The V neck has the new larger profile (.883" at the second fret, .950 at the tenth). A strap button has been installed on the heel per the photos. Here is your chance to own a very special Boucher at a great price! Check out Doug's demonstration and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
