Another masterful build from our friend Dermott McIlroy! As usual, every last detail of this guitar is tended to. The back and sides of this instrument are nicely flamed Claro Walnut. The top is reclaimed ancient Redwood from Northern California. Per the accompanying Certificate of Source:
"This old growth Redwood was salvaged from trees cut over a century ago in the N. California coastal forests. These were legendary 1500 -2000+year old giants that grew to 20' diameter and over 400' tall. The stumps from these trees, and the occasional trunk section left in the forest, stayed perfectly preserved over the past century and the wood is of distinctly high quality."
Ebony fingerboard with Celtic knot at twelfth fret, Abalone rosette. Nut width 45mm. Scale length 25.5".
