The A series is McIlroy's mid-sized jumbo, also known as an auditorium sized guitar. It is very comfortable to play and typically has a clear tone and good volume. The A12 has an Engelmann Spruce top and Brazilian Mahogany back and sides. Engelmann is lighter and less stiff than Sitka and responds well to a soft touch, while the Mahogany gives a nice woodiness and growl when strummed.
