This is a truly special Blue Label guitar from Hozen featuring a Swiss "Moon Spruce" top and Mexican Cocobolo back and sides. The construction elements that have gone into this instrument separate it from any other in our shop. The Alpine Spruce is harvested at a specific time during the winter when the tree's sap flow is at its lowest, which minimizes resin content. This results in greater stiffness and increased stability. Additionally, a solid lining with double sides is utilized in lieu of traditional notched kerfing. This keeps the sides of the instrument from absorbing energy, thereby allowing the top and back to vibrate more freely. The end result of all this is a magnificent sounding Medium Jumbo guitar! Thumping lows and crisp highs abound. The tone is complex, with rich harmonic overtones. Often overused, the term "Bell Like" absolutely applies here.
