We are excited to have received another beautiful 00037 from Atkin! It features a baked Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The finish is hand-distressed to give it a broken-in look and feel. The design is based on a pre-war Martin, with Atkins' tweaks and secret sauce to make it sound incredible. Herringbone purfling and a tortoise guard set the golden hued top off nicely. The tone is characterized by forward midrange and singing trebles with good note separation.
A comfortable neck profile and smaller body make this a great little songwriter or something different than your dreadnaught to sit on the porch with!
