This newer model from our friends at Atkin really sets itself apart from the rest. A baked Sitka top is mated to nicely flamed maple sides and back. With a smaller body at 14 3/4" lower bout, this '36' model is unassuming in appearance but mighty fun to play! The vintage style ebony nut is 1 3/4" in width. It has 24 7/8" scale length. The mahogany neck has a soft V shape that gets fairly chunky up high yet still feels comfortable.
Other features include pre-war scalloped bracing, a handsomely engraved and hand painted pickguard, and 'Kingfisher' headstock decal. Tortoiseshell binding ties it all together.
This is a great little fingerstyle blues/ragtime guitar with a bit of attitude and honk! Fun to play slide on this one too. Includes a hardshell case. Stay tuned for Doug's video demonstration.
