Atkin ASJ Small Jumbo Baked Sitka/Flame Maple

The ASJ is Atkin's small body Jumbo shape, and this one has a Baked Sitka Spruce top and lightly flamed Maple back and sides.  The Sunburst finish, medium aging treatment and tiger fire pickguard gives it a nice warm vintage vibe.  It looks like it's been hanging out in the barn for a few years!  The 45mm (1 3/4") nut width and a shallow C style neck make it a great choice for finger stylists.  Double diamond fretboard and headstock inlays give it a touch of class.

As you'll hear in Doug's demonstration video, the tone is warm and even throughout. This ASJ responds best to a lighter touch - it's not a banger.  Pure Americana...from across the pond!
