Dermot MclIroy, along with his wife Colleen, started McIlroy Musical Instruments on March 6, 2000. He already had 21 years of experience behind him, including 10 years at Lowden Guitar Co where he was involved in all aspects of guitar making, including serving as production manager.
This year, Dermot celebrates 25 years with a special series of his most popular model, the A25 Cedar / Walnut. The anniversary model has a few special features, including the special set of English Black Walnut, the Celtic Knot at the 12th fret, the Ebony head plate and back plate, the Ebony binding, Cosmo Black Gotoh 510 tuners, and the special anniversary label.
