As one of the largest U.S. dealers of Furch Guitars, from the Czech Republic, we proudly offer their instruments featuring premium tonewoods sourced from around the world. Journey across the Atlantic to Ireland, where we feature handmade guitars from renowned makers such as Lowden, McIlroy, and McNally. These makers bear a strong connection to Ireland's cultural heritage, contributing to their distinct identity and worldwide popularity through their craftsmanship and musical influence.
Representing England, Akin guitars from Canterbury use a blend of traditional methods and some modern technology. The outcome is a distinctive collection of vintage-looking guitars with unique qualities, consistently offering players something exciting to inspire the creation of great music.
From Quebec, Canada, we proudly feature Boucher guitars. Each guitar is crafted to suit the player's preferences, emphasizing projection, harmonic richness, and balance. This allows guitarists to express a broad range of emotions, from the most intense to the most delicate, captivating their audience.
Adding to our diverse lineup, The Fretted Buffalo proudly carries guitars made by Hozen, student of Ervin Somogyi, a recognized figure on crafting responsive guitars. The innovative bracing, inspired by the principles of irrigation used in farming, where bracing transports the vibrations of the soundwaves across the soundboard, much like how water flows in the irrigation channels, creates tones of richness, responsiveness, and structural integrity.
In the spring of 2023, The Fretted Buffalo embarked on a renovation journey to accommodate our growing inventory. On December 2, our doors reopened with a stylish showcase of our collection, including a revamped "previously owned" wall featuring respected makers like Martin, Taylor, Furch, Lowden, Huss & Dalton, and Iris.
